Strategy & Organizational Development:

  • Worked with executives from C-level down to renew mission statements and strategic goals, create/refine business plans, and develop corporate and business level strategies. Facilitated meetings and provided guidance on Board-level decisions

  • Facilitated evaluation, strategic decision-making and market entry activities for Big 6 launch of a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) business unit, one of the first major players in the outsourcing industry.

  • Provided feedback on improvement concepts and change management advice to an industry leading US retail company in the process of turning-around its failing international business.

  • Investigated viability of marketing a new product category through the e-Channel. Evaluated multiple operational models and their relative business cases. Proposed product strategy and market entry strategy for a multi-million dollar business.

Project Management:

  • Planned and executed complex cross-functional, multi-geography, multi-business-unit improvement projects, engaging and reporting performance to senior management, C-level and Steering Committee/Board-level executives.

  • Managed globally dispersed joint client/consultant and combined business/technical project teams through evaluation of global strategic improvement opportunities, business case development, requirements gathering, systems scoping, executive and business decision-making, process redesign/improvement, and system design.

  • Planned a 5-year global process reengineering and SAP system implementation project impacting Customer Service, Finance, Distribution, and Procurement for 5 business units and 50 countries, at the time, the largest SAP implementation ever attempted.

  • Managed teams pursuing State Government spend reduction targets delivering $1.5 million in annual telecom savings and a projected $1.9 million in savings in spend on IT contractors. Part of governor’s high publicity “Smart Buy” initiative.

Process Reengineering:

  • Managed project teams located in 2 overseas and 3 US locations through improvement of global Customer Service and Technical Support processes. Facilitated process redesign/improvement, executive and business decision-making, and CRM system design and implementation planning.

  • Managed senior level client teams of up to 25 people through improvement of product-related processes for 5 Leading Apparel and Consumer Products Manufacturers/Vendors. Addressed Product R&D, Concept Development, Sourcing, Procurement, Pre-Production, Production, Logistics, Distribution, Customer Sales, and Retail Sales through Storefront, Catalog, and Web. Example project-specific improvements: 6 week cycle time reduction, $4 million/yr in process efficiencies.

  • Defined and implemented analytical processes for brand management, product development, product planning, consultative selling and business performance management for Consumer Products and High Tech companies.

  • Facilitated redesign of Procurement function, organizational structure, purchasing strategy, requisition to payment process, and supplier management for a Consumer Products leader. Recommended $1.4 MM reduction in purchasing spend.

  • Designed Sales and Marketing research function to integrate and centralize marketing research, sales research, and consumer research, and support effective communication and utilization of information across divisions. Implemented POS analysis, consumer research and in-store product tests with Sales and Merchandising.

  • Defined Performance Measures for 6 departments and 2 divisions of a Consumer Products leader. Developed action plans improving performance management in alignment with business requirements and strategies.

  • Evaluated the Health & Human Services operation of an Indian Colony, recommending operational improvements offering 10% increase in 3rd party funding, 20% increase in grant funding, and a 25% increase in service capacity.
